Customer from Duffield contacted me with a fertilizer, where the spredding speed was eratic, but only when the machine was operating slow.They where certain that the problem was in the controller on the machine, but my experience led me to check out all parts in question. The problem turned out to be the encoder. After opening the encoder, the disc which give out pulses as a speed feedback was smashed and deformed. Installing a new encoder solved the problem.
At Sigma does not mather if we understand farming but we sure understand Electronics !
